Leuwi Hejo Waterfall is a natural tourist attraction that has beautiful scenery and pure clear water. Leuwi Hejo Waterfall comes from the Sundanese language "leuwi" which means 'pond' and "hejo" means 'green'. Leuwi Hejo Waterfall is a waterfall that has a green color.[1]

Along with the development of the tourism sector, new natural attractions have emerged that become destinations during holidays to spend time and relieve fatigue, and Leuwi Hejo Waterfall is one of them. Leuwi Hejo Waterfall has the main attraction, namely the clear water which attracts visitors to play water and swim in this waterfall. Location

Leuwi Hejo Waterfall is located in Wangan Village, Cileungsi, Karang Tengah, Babakan Madang, Sentul, Bogor City. To reach Leuwi Hejo Waterfall, it is 10 km from the center of Bogor and takes approximately 20 minutes to 45 minutes. The route to Leuwi Hejo Waterfall is by passing the toll road towards Bogor (Jagorawi Toll Road) and exiting the South Sentul toll road, then heading to Sentul Nirwana. After that, you will meet "Jungle Land" and will enter a rural route that will lead to Leuwi Hejo Waterfall.[3]

Along the way from the parking lot to the location of this waterfall, tourists will track approximately 300 meters. Not far from the parking lot, visitors will immediately hear the gurgling water and see the large rocks that surround the Leuwi Hejo waterfall.[4]

The entrance ticket to Leuwi Hejo Waterfall is subject to 2 withdrawals of user fees. The first entry fee is IDR 15 thousand per person and IDR 5 thousand for the second post. The retribution fee is used for the maintenance and operation of Leuwi Hejo Waterfall tourism. Leuwi Hejo Waterfall is open from 7 am to 5 pm.[5]

The Beauty of Leuwi Hejo Waterfall

Although the city of Bogor has a lot of waterfalls, the beauty of the 'Leuwi Hejo' waterfall has its own charm that makes tourists come to this waterfall. This waterfall is also often referred to as the "green canyon" of the city of Bogor. This is because the Leuwi Hejo waterfall has a turquoise green pool under the waterfall.[6]

This turquoise waterfall also has very clear and cold water. Not infrequently the visitors who swim shiver because they feel cold. So clear the pool under this waterfall, we can see the bottom of the pool in the form of soil and rocks. Not only that, the pool water in this waterfall when exposed to sunlight will bounce and refract.[7]

Visitors can also swim in this pool, but need to be careful because the bottom of the pool which is a rock is very slippery. For those of you who cannot swim, it is also not recommended to do so, this prevents accidents in the water because the pool under the waterfall is quite deep, namely 1.5 meters. This waterfall does not have a high waterfall. The height of the waterfall in this waterfall is only about 2 meters. This beautiful waterfall is also surrounded by towering cliffs.[8]
